Capital One will offer its own premium hotel booking program with the launch of the Premier Collection for Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card members.
Cardholders will get access to elite-like perks at hundreds of participating luxury properties worldwide.
The issuer also revealed plans for new Capital One Landing lounges featuring authentic Spanish-style tapas at two US airports.

Capital One’s improvement spree continues as select cardholders will soon get access to one-of-a-kind upscale hotels with the launch of the new Premier Collection: Capital One’s own spin on a premium hotel booking program. And it’s got a lot in common with existing credit card hotel programs, like Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts and Chase’s Luxury Hotels and Resorts Collection.
To access the Capital One Premier Collection, you’ll need to have a Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Spark Travel Elite card (only available through Capital One Business relationship managers). Cardholders will be able to book using miles, cash, or a combination of both, and receive perks that include room upgrades and on-property credits at hundreds of participating luxury properties worldwide.
There’s also exciting news for frequent flyers and foodies alike: Capital One will debut new Capital One Landing lounges at two US airports, offering a “culinary-focused experience” instead of regular lounge amenities.
Here’s what you need to know about the new Capital One Premier Collection and Capital One Landing lounges.

Capital One Premier Collection: Get elite-like benefits at luxury hotels
Enhancing your next vacation with elite dining, spa, and hotel room perks can be easy with the right card. Instead of carrying a specific hotel program’s co-branded card (like the recently upgraded Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card), you can get luxury hotel benefits (such as $100 experience credit, daily breakfast for two, and more) through Capital One Travel’s new Premier Collection, but you have to have the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.
The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is one of the best premium travel credit cards out there, with tons of airline and hotel transfer partners, valuable rewards miles, and terrific Capital One lounge benefits. This includes unlimited complimentary access to Priority Pass, Plaza Premium, and Capital One’s own branded lounges in the US and abroad.
Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card cardholders will earn 10x miles on Premier Collection bookings (with the option to redeem miles for some or all of the cost). And, unlike with most other third-party hotel booking programs, bookings made with the Premier Collection will also earn hotel points and elite night credits at hotels that have a loyalty program.
Plus, cardholders get access to upscale Premier Collection benefits at hundreds of hotels and resorts worldwide, including:

Experienced travelers might recognize most of these benefits as being hotel program staples offered by competitor programs. Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, for example (available to The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express holders) also includes benefits like room upgrades, early check-in/late checkout, complimentary Wi-Fi, daily breakfast for two, and the occasional third or fourth night free.
The Premier Collection features hundreds of hotels and resorts around the world, including brands such as Six Senses, 1 Hotels, Proper Hotels, and more. Capital One hasn’t released the full list of participating properties yet, but here are some highlights:

Capital One plans to roll out the Premier Collection later in 2022. You’ll be able to book through Capital One Travel if you’re an eligible cardholder, and the search interface is just like that for regular hotels:

Whether or not Capital One’s pricing is competitive remains to be seen. Oftentimes, credit card hotel booking programs have higher rates than booking through the property (or chain) directly. It will be important to compare pricing and benefits to determine if booking through the Premier Collection is worth it.
Capital One Landing: A complement to Capital One Lounges
Capital One Landing will be a food-driven alternative to the traditional airport lounge experience. Partnered with José Andrés Group, Capital One designed an elevated culinary experience for folks looking for authentic Spanish-style cuisine in the heart of the terminal. Instead of spending a bunch of cash on overpriced airport food, you can dine in a more comfortable, exclusive space with a top-notch food and beverage menu.
The first Capital One Landing lounges are set to open at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and New York- LaGuardia Terminal B (LGA). Details aren’t released yet about who can access Capital One Landing lounges, but if they’re similar to standard Capital One Lounges, you’ll get free access for yourself and up to two guests with the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.
Capital One is also busy preparing to open its new (regular) lounges at Denver International Airport (DEN) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) sometime early next year. Currently, the only Capital One lounge open is at Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW).
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business offer members two complimentary lounge passes each year, which is great for folks who want to sample Capital One Lounges.
