Court papers say the Texas teen, accused of murdering his mother and putting her body in the trunk of a car, brutally assaulted her in their home, knocking out her teeth during the attack.
Documents show that Manfred Roenz, father of 17-year-old Tyler Roenz and husband of Michelle Roenz, 49, returned home on Thursday, October 13, with a bloody scene.
Manfred told investigators he returned to his residence at 14700 block of Birch Arbor Court in Humble, Texas, around noon and entered the home through the garage.
In the garage, the father and husband said he found a human tooth and blood, signs of a violent attack that wouldn’t be the teen’s first.
Earlier this year, Tyler was arrested and charged with assaulting a teenage girl in a high school parking lot.

Manfred said he discovered a trail of blood and at least four more teeth between the garage and the bedroom, court documents state. He also found more blood on the carpet in a nearby room.
Another alarming discovery came in the form of Michelle’s keys, wallet and phone, which Manfred told investigators he found in their bedroom. The man said his wife never left home without those things.
The man called to both Michelle and Tyler, but got no answer.
He immediately called 911 and shared the details.
The Texas father said that after discovering Michelle’s phone in their bedroom, he tried to track his son’s phone using the Life360 app, only to find that Tyler deleted the app and turned off his phone.
Initial reports suggest Michelle may have died from strangulation and blunt trauma ABC 13.

With Life360, family members and friends can track the whereabouts of their loved one.
After attempting to trace the phone with no luck, Manfred and law enforcement checked the security cameras and found the car driven by Tyler leaving the house around 11:45 a.m.
Michelle, according to her husband, had returned home around 10:15 a.m.
Life360 showed that Tyler was also at their Texas home at the time, before the app was removed and disabled.
The teen went to school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and then he got to use the black Mazda he eventually drove to Nebraska.
Tyler was not enrolled in the Humble Independent School District, according to a statement from the school.
It is not clear which school the student attended.

Earlier this year, Tyler was charged with attempted sexual assault.
At the time of the brutal attack on his mother, Tyler was out on bail.
Court documents show that Tyler ripped an 18-year-old girl’s shirt in his car in the parking lot of North Shore Senior High School.
He had appeared in court in April and according to documents, he had picked up the girl and taken her phone from her.
When she tried to get it back from him, he became furious.
He would have bitten her, beat her, touched her breasts and her crotch and then pushed her out of the car. She was thrown half-naked from the parked vehicle.
Tyler would also have kicked the girl in the face so hard that she had to be stitched up.
The girl told police officers after the incident that she thought she was going to die.

After returning home to find the vehicle, his son and wife missing, Manfred filed suit for unauthorized use of motor vehicles in Harris County, Texas.
Officers who arrived at the crime scene confirmed Manfred’s blood and dental records throughout the house.
Surveillance footage shows that Michelle left the garage door open on her arrival around 10:15 am.
The video shows the black Mazda parked for about an hour before someone in the house shuts the door.
Manfred later checked credit cards owned by Michelle and found that her Discover card had been used multiple times across state lines.
Discover told the Texas man that the card had been used at three gas stations in six hours, including one in… Humble, Texas; Richardson, Texas; Atoka, Oklahoma; and Chetopa, Kansas.
According to the documents, the car’s license plate was also registered on a reader near Dallas.
A CLEAR warning to both Michelle and Tyler was issued later.

HCSO Homicide detectives are working with other local authorities and have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains.
A cause of death for Michelle also remains unclear, and police have yet to say whether they plan to charge Roenz for his mother’s murder.
The Nebraska state police were able to locate the teen by identifying the black four-door Mazda Texas police, reported being last seen.

Police have yet to say if there were any domestic problems within the family, and what could have led to Roenz’s disappearance, as well as the death of his mother.
