Formula 1 is coming to the United States for the second time this season, with the F1 US Grand Prix scheduled for October 23 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. ESPN’s family of networks will air the practice trials while the main event will be broadcast on ABC and simulcast on ESPN3. Pre-race coverage will start at 1:30 p.m. ET, while the race will begin at 3 p.m. ET.
Last year’s F1 champion Max Verstappen enters the weekend with a healthy lead in the standings and just four races left on the calendar. Verstappen has won 12 races so far this season, including the Japanese GP earlier this month and the Miami GP during F1’s only other stop in the US this year. Verstappen’s Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Pérez is in second place in the standings, just one point ahead of Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari.
