<p>In a post-pandemic world, trick-or-treaters are back in full force, so homeowners are stocking up on sweet Halloween staples to hand out on Oct. 31. <a href="https://www.candystore.com/blogs/facts-trivia/halloween-candy-map-popular?y=2022">Data from bulk candy retailer Candy Store</a> has revealed which candy is most beloved by each state.</p>
<p>According to a <a href="https://nrf.com/media-center/press-releases/halloween-participation-returns-pre-pandemic-levels-record-spending">September news release</a> from the National Retail Federation, total spending for Halloween 2022 is projected to hit $10.6 billion in the US. Candy Store reports that the average American will spend about $27.55 on Halloween candy.</p>
<p>This list of each state's favorite candy includes treats for those who enjoy sour candies, chocolate, or even something with a spicy kick.</p>
