Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have “expressed interest in MLS star Jhon Duran, joining Liverpool in the race to sign the striker valued at £10m”.
The 18-year-old had eight goals and five assists in 27 games last season, and is believed to have attracted interest from across Europe.
Duran’s club, the Chicago Fire, is becoming something of a feeder club in the Premier League after goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina was sold to Chelsea.

According to reports in SunUnited contacted the MLS club about Duran, weeks after similar inquiries were made by Liverpool.
They also report that the striker’s ‘agent and family recently traveled to England’.
Chicago may be especially interested in cashing in on their striker in the near future, having dropped to 12th in the MLS Eastern Conference.

The young striker could be a good fit for United, who will need young talent up front given Cristiano Ronaldo’s age and current discontent.
United drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Saturday night but seemed limited in the final third and relied on a late Casemiro header to secure the point.
