TOWIE’s Roman Hackett has revealed that Love Island’s Danica Taylor spent the night at his home before being pictured kissing at a nearby train station.
The dancer, 21, confirmed she had stopped dating footballer Jamie Allen, 27, after hugging Roman, 20.
But Roman, who appeared on Friday’s Reality with Will Njobvu podcast, has now claimed that he and Danica shared several kisses after responding to his Instagram posts while still “chatting Jamie.”
TOWIE’s Roman Hackett has revealed that Love Island’s Danica Taylor spent the night at his home before being pictured kissing at a nearby train station.
When asked by Will how it all started, he explained, “I sent her a DM and she replied and I did again and she didn’t answer. So I messaged her on Instagram, that’s how we met for the first time.
“And then I met her again at a Married At First Sight event and I asked her why she would answer and not answer again. She pretended ‘I was obviously chatting with Jamie,’ but then why did she answer?’
Will then asked, ‘Oh so she answered you first while she was still chatting with Jamie’ with Roman affirming.
Will then brought up the kiss that caused confusion among fans: “So there must have been a few kisses because the photo I saw was during the day. So the Married At First Sight event was at night, I was invited, so I know, so how many kisses were there?’
Roman added: “Just a few. We vibrated and we kissed.’
Will now asked for an update on their situation: ‘So what happened, who called it off? Or are you still talking? Talk to me about that picture’
Roman said: So when that got in the press, it was at a station near me, about five minutes from my house.’
Will understood quickly and asked, “So she was with yours?” while a shocked Roman covered his mouth after realizing what he had said.
The pair burst out laughing as Will sipped his tea and Roman admitted that he had “put himself all in.”
Roman continued: “When that photo came out she messaged me asking if I’d seen it and I told her I literally dropped her off for two minutes and it came up randomly. She then messaged again asking if I had it set up and I said no.’
“First, when I got out of the car, I didn’t kiss her, I gave her a hug and she pulled me back to kiss me. I said if I had it set up I would have taped it to you, so then we had some disagreements and we haven’t spoken since.’
Nice try: A source close to Danica added to MailOnline that Danica and Roman (pictured) are “just friends” and that there is nothing romantic between them
Danica previously spoke about the kiss, claiming it “looked a lot worse than it was.”
Speak with the mirrorDanica explains: “That’s very… It’s often misunderstood, it was just a goodbye kiss, it looks a lot worse than it is.
“He’s a friend and nothing more. I don’t see Roman, we’ll clear that up right away.’
She later added: ‘Me and Jamie were never together. We came out of the villa and we liked each other very much and things were going well, but things started to blow up a bit – he has his life, I have mine.’
Danica and fellow contestant Jamie became the first couple to split upon their departure from the villa, MailOnline revealed.
Danica, a dancer from Leicester, struggled to find love on the ITV2 dating series but got Jamie during the final weeks of the competition and they narrowly missed the final.
A source told MailOnline: ‘Danica and Jamie have gone their separate ways.
They had yet to make their relationship official, but have decided that they weren’t really romantically involved.
Jamie has just signed for a new football team and Danica has been chasing endless opportunities after leaving the Love Island villa and they unfortunately drifted apart.
“They are still good friends and will continue to support each other in everything they do.”
At the time, MailOnline approached representatives for Danica and Jamie for comment.
