A group of female school bullies brutally assaulted a girl in the common room while a male staff member walked by and did nothing.

The victim, who goes alone to LS for a fee of $1 million lawsuit filed by her mother, was charging an electronic device in the common room of Grant High School in Portland when a red-haired girl in a white hoodie came up to her and started talking to her.

The two reportedly had a heated conversation for several moments before the attacker jumped on LS and started hitting her repeatedly, the Oregonian reported.

During the January 4 fight, you’ll see a male staff member sitting at the end of the common room rushing along the wall, not once looking at the altercation.

Portland Public Schools stopped hiring officers in schools in June 2020 after George Floyd’s death, because some activists feared the officers were targeting students of color.

Grant High School, where the incident took place, does employ security personnel. But Portland Public Schools has fired school officers — also known as school resources — in the wake of the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in May 2020.

A group of female school bullies attacked a girl, identified only as LS, in the common room on January 4, brutally beating her and causing her physical and emotional harm

You can see LS kneeling after being knocked to the ground in combat as several girls attacked the junior. She was charging an electronic device when a girl in a white hoodie came up to her and got into a heated conversation before hitting her

Surveillance videos show the girl winding her arm several times before hitting the girl heavily as the conversation boils over.

LS – dressed in a black hoodie – can be seen ducking from the strikes, but shortly after, the other girls come over and surround her.

At one point she can be seen kneeling on the ground while the girl in the white hoodie slams her fists against the girl’s head.

The five girls can quietly leave the cafeteria shortly after the employee. Seconds later, the girl in the hoodie returns, but does not touch the girl.

The girl can be seen huddled by the booth she was sitting in as two male students walk through the cafeteria. The lawsuit revealed she had a “nosebleed and visible blood on her shirt” and was “shaken.”

She suffered from ‘bruises on her head, [had] a swollen bridge of the nose, muscle tension in her head and neck, and persistent pain and stiffness in the right shoulder.’ She also had a rotator cuff injury that required physical therapy.

Her mother, Rahel Fessehazion, 50, is now suing Portland Public School for $1.1 million for the physical and emotional injuries inflicted on her daughter and for the school’s negligence.

Fessehazion claims that her daughter, a junior at the school, has been taunted by this group of girls since she was a freshman. During LS’s freshman year, the administrators issued a no-contact order, keeping the girls in separate classes.

A male staff member sat at the far end of the common room and left it after the altercation broke out, not looking once at the girls

The girls left shortly after him, leaving the girl with a nosebleed and visible blood on her shirt. LS had a restraining order against the girls since first year for allegedly harassing her

The incident happened at Grant High School, which does have security on campus. Portland Public Schools used to have police officers on campus, but that was discontinued in June 2020, after George Floyd’s death, as activists claimed officers were targeting students of color

The complaint also alleged that the school removed the girls from the school just “few days” after the fight, leaving LS to deal with “further harassment and additional emotional injuries.”

LS was eventually given a temporary protective order against stalking the two girls after the fight. According to the lawsuit, the protection order became final in February.

Two of the girls were expelled from Grant High School and moved to another school on February 7.

LS would later transfer for her senior year, having “lost all faith in Grant High School.”

Fessehazion claims that the school knew the dangers and let it happen anyway.

She is asking $780,000 for the staff member’s negligence and $400,000 for her daughter’s emotional distress.
