The new seven-episode season of the social satire is set in an exclusive Sicilian resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the course of a week.
Jennifer Coolidge reprises her Season 1 role as Tanya McQuoid-Hunt, along with Jon Gries as her new husband, Greg Hunt.

The episode opens with a new title sequence introducing Italian art and new cast and creative team members, with creator Mike White writing and directing.
The first shot begins on a beautiful beach where Daphne Sullivan (Meghann Fahy) introduces herself to two women while praising all the comforts of The White Lotus.
He’s heading out for a last swim before he leaves… when he finds a dead body in the water and runs off to get help.
Resort manager Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore) is told that one of the guests drowned while the police are on the prowl.
Tanya is seen arriving at the resort by boat with her new assistant (Haley Lu Richardson) in tow.
Valentina and her staff welcome their first guests… before she chides the staff for having such a small tray for champagne.
Mia (Beatrice Granno) and Lucia (Simona Tabasco) watch the new guests arrive and rate them on their appearance.
Two couples are seen arriving, Harper (Aubrey Plaza) and Ethan (Will Sharpe) and Cameron (Theo James) and Daphne, although Cameron’s luggage was lost.
Tanya arrives when Valentina says that her husband has already arrived and mentions that she is a very important guest.
Cameron mentions that this place was once a brothel when a worker says that there is a door linking the two rooms, but Harper blurts out that she doesn’t think they need it.
Cameron and Meghann head to their rooms as the Di Grasso family says they’re there to find their mother’s hometown, while Bert flirts with employee Isabella (Eleonora Romandini).
Tanya meets with her husband, who asks her how her flight was and she says she texted him several times, but he said he came up with something related to work.
Greg gets upset when he sees Tanya’s assistant traveling with her saying it’s supposed to be a romantic getaway.
He tells Tanya to get rid of her and she tells him to get lost…but stay close because he might need her.
Valentina tracks down the two local girls and kicks them out of the hotel.
Dom calls Abby, but she is not happy to hear from him and yells at him before hanging up the phone in tears.
Aside from them though, the cast will be entirely new, with the show set at a different White Lotus resort in Sicily with new staff and guests from the first season, which was set at a White Lotus resort in Hawaii.
Portia calls a friend, Sarah, to tell her how much she hates her job as Tanya’s assistant as her friend tells her to find some d**k.
The two couples are having dinner discussing their jobs as lawyers, although Cameron seems to disparage Harper’s work and her firm.
Will says that she’s the star of her company and she wins all the cases and she gets sponsored and says, ‘Of course she is.’
Portia talks to Albie and reveals that she is from Los Angeles and he is from San Francisco as they discuss where they went to college.
He reveals that he works for a company that does urban planning but is an intern and tells her that they will take his grandfather to where his mother was born.
As they talk, he trips and falls as they run up to him and see if he’s okay when he immediately starts flirting with her.
Tanya changes into a black minidress and tries to flirt with her husband, but he doesn’t seem interested, saying he’s going to wash up because he has “swamp crotch”.
The two couples share drinks as Harper says she’s on sleeping pills because of “everything that’s going on in the world,” but Cameron and Meghann say they don’t even watch the news anymore.
‘They’re just trying to scare everyone. Yes. They’re just polarizing society by leaving us glued to their apocalyptic soap opera, you know? Cameron says.
Harper says she watches a lot of Dateline about husbands killing their wives and that Cameron likes to watch ‘macho reality shows’.
Ethan says they watch documentaries… which doesn’t elicit a reaction, but adds that they watch Ted Lasso, with Cameron and Meghann in love.
Tanya and Greg are having sex, but suddenly she pushes him away, saying that she was seeing all these faces of men with very effeminate hairstyles.
“Then I saw you and your eyes and they were like completely dead shark eyes,” Tanya says as Greg says, “You really know how to cheer up a guy.”
Greg says that she ate all the macaroons, but she doesn’t remember and he says how she’s supposed to lose weight eating all the macaroons.
Harper and Cameron go up to Harper’s room as she gives him Will’s extra trunks and he says he’s glad Ethan found someone.
She goes to get the sunscreen and he changes right behind her, though she can see in the mirror, but says she can’t find the sunscreen.
Albie goes to find his father Dom and tells him that Bert fell by the pool and he suggests that someone watch him while he sleeps and Dom suggests that he sleep in Albie’s room because he has work stuff.
Lucia and Mia are hanging out outside the resort where Lucia suggests they have a threesome, but Mia is still in love with Mossimo.
They sneak into the complex when Valentina’s employee leaves and are seen freshening up in the bathroom.
Tanya and Greg are heading to the restaurant when Tanya sees her assistant Portia eating alone. Tanya rushes over and says that she was supposed to stay in the room, but she says that she had to eat.
Tanya covers Portia’s face with her menu as they walk past as the Di Grasso family sits down to dinner while Bert flirts with the waitress.
Bert mentions that his son Dom is a ‘big ass in Hollywood’ as they start picking on Bert for flirting all the time.
Mia and Lucia walk in as Cameron says they’re hookers while Cameron jokes that Ethan was the ‘original incel’.
Cameron says that as soon as he left his room, he worked as much as Harper says that he is still more or less the same.
Mia and Lucia notice the pianist staring at them as he sings his song while Albie waves to Portia who is still eating alone.
Portia notices Tanya telling her to go home and she abruptly leaves.

Simona Tabasco plays Lucia, ‘a Sicilian local who frequents the White Lotus resort in search of work and opportunities among the wealthy clientele.
