An iconic supermarket treat disappears from Australian shelves as the international owner of the brand bites his product line.
The Europe Sesame Bar is an Aussies favorite thanks to its cheap price and delicious combination of sesame and caramel, but owner Cadbury Australia confirmed this week that the sweet treat has been discontinued.
Popular TikToker Russ Eats shared the scoop that the chew bars were sent to the junk food graveyard on Tuesday.
‘Two of the great Europe four, the Jupiter Bar and the Sesame Bar, are now gone. The two best in my opinion. But we still have the Honey Nougat and the Summer Roll,’ he said.
Comments said they were disappointed that the nostalgic treat would no longer be available.
“Loved this one so much,” said one person.
“Sesame bar is the best,” added another.
“If they get off the Summer Roll, we’ll revolt,” a third joked.
Others said they’ve seen them in stores this week and suggested picking up the remaining ones before supplies run out.

A spokesman for Cadbury owner Mondelez International confirmed to the Daily Mail Australia that the bars would no longer be sold.
“Unfortunately, the product is no longer for sale due to declining consumer interest,” said the spokesperson.
“We are always reluctant to withdraw products from the market and we are sorry for any disappointment this may cause.”
Russ Eats previously tipped the popular Australian soft drink Lift off the shelves in September and replaced it with Sprite Lemon+.
Coca Cola, the makers of Lift, confirmed that the once-popular soft drink had been phased out at the end of September.
Lift’s off-the-shelf formulas will be withdrawn from stores by the end of September 2022, except Glass 330mL which will be phased out by the end of 2022, a Coca Cola spokesperson said.
The potion has been replaced by Sprite Lemon+, but the potion does not have the same flavor as Lift.
“After listening to our customers, our focus is on our new Sprite Lemon+ range, which we believe will be popular with our existing Lift drinkers,” the spokesperson added.
Sprite Lemon+ also contains caffeine, a stimulant not found in Lift.
