The FBI raided the campaign offices of Arizona Republican governor Kari Lake on Saturday night after the staff received suspected white power, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Police were in Phoenix offices from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. after Lake’s team received two envelopes containing the substance and abusive messages.
Her campaign believes this was a “terrorist attack, in an attempt to intimidate Kari and the campaign staff.”
A source familiar with the campaign told DailyMail.com: ‘Yesterday one of Kari’s staff members opened an envelope with a suspicious white powder in it and there was a letter in it with a lot of vulgarities and rage and rage about Kari.
“The employee then saw a second package that looked exactly like the first she’d opened and reported it.”

A hazmat team and the Ordnance Disposal Service also responded, and the FBI then took the substance for analysis.
In a statement to DailyMail.com, Phoenix Police Department confirmed the suspicious packages and said they were investigating.
Sergeant Phil Krynsky said: “Officers responded to a call for property found in an office building near 40th Street and Camelback Road. When officers arrived, they discovered suspicious items in the mail. Additional resources responded to collect the items and secure the area.
“There are no reports of injuries and the investigation remains active.”
Lake is in an exciting race with her Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs and the campaign has turned fierce in recent weeks with personal attacks from both sides.
Last Tuesday, police at Hobbs’ campaign headquarters in Phoenix responded to reports of a break-in.
Hobbs initially suggested that Lake’s team and her rhetoric may have been behind it.
Lake called it a “Jussie Smollett Part Two,” suggesting that Hobbs exaggerated or faked the entire incident to divert attention from the wafer-thin polls.
But it was later revealed that the suspect was an illegal immigrant from Portugal, 36-year-old Daniel Mota Dos.
According to customs and border guards, he had stayed longer than his student visa.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) public affairs officer Yasmeen Pitts O’Keefe, Mota “is currently on the run from administrative immigration violations because he failed to maintain his status as a registered student at an academic institution.”
ICE notes that before a immigration detention could be issued, Mota was released on bail.
Lake, a television reporter turned Republican governor candidate, topped Hobbs in the polls in early October after the Democrat consistently scored 5-7 points higher for months.
The drop-off is likely due to Hobbs’ refusal to debate Lake ahead of Election Day on Nov. 8.

Surveillance footage shows Mota, who police say is homeless, walking through the office building where Hobbs’ headquarters is located. According to ICE, Mota is ‘currently free for administrative immigration violations for failing to maintain his status as a registered student at an academic institution’
