This is the horrifying moment when a boy was thrown from a high-speed carousel in the Philippines, crashed into a steel pole and lost a lung.
Mark Fajardo, 13, was at the wave swinger attraction during Halloween celebrations in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan province of the Philippines on Nov. 1.
The ride began to accelerate and onlookers screamed in delight as they remarked on the high speed of the carousel.
The jubilant screams were replaced by screams of fear, however, when Mark flew out of his seat moments later and slammed into a set of steel grates with a loud bang.

The teen’s mother, Marivic Fajardo, said: ‘Doctors told me to be careful as he now only has one lung left.
‘I hope the operators don’t make up stories. They blame my son and say he removed the lock. Why would he do that when the ride was so fast?’

The wave swinger attraction has been suspended while the investigation is ongoing.
Police said the fairground is licensed and operating legally, but the document could be revoked if the security violations are proven.
