Another excellent win for Sony! Some gamers who ordered the Collector’s Editions have discovered that their copy does not contain a download code for the game. Others even lack the full SteelBook Case with disc and download codes.
Those who received SteelBook Case sometimes received a duplicate download code instead of one code for the DLC and one for the game. As reported, the SteelBook Case was completely lost in some editions. A serious miss from Sony, especially if your customers pay so much money and can’t get started with the game.
Several gamers took to Twitter to share their frustration. Funnily enough, one of those unfortunate buyers an account established to collect all complaints. Below are two separate examples:

It is not the first time that Sony has completely missed the mark with the delivery of expensive Collector’s Editions. For example, many American gamers received their special edition of The Last of Us: Part 1 in a terrible condition because the packaging for shipping was not sturdy enough.
A Twitter user does say that he contacted Sony customer service. According to that person, the publisher would investigate the matter and provide a response within 5 working days. All victims will therefore have to wait at least another 5 days to get started with God of War Ragnarök…
In Belgium, the launch also did not go as hoped. Thanks to the national day of action of the trade unions, no mail was distributed. As a result, many gamers who ordered God of War Ragnarök online have to wait a day longer.
