Elizabeth Debicki was joined by her very own Prince Charming on Tuesday night as she celebrated the launch of series five of Netflix drama The Crown.

The actress, who plays Diana, Princess Of Wales during her turbulent final years, walked out of the red carpet premiere at London’s Theater Royal Drury Lane with her new boyfriend, Kristian Rasmussen.

The pair made their first red carpet appearance and their second in as many days after venturing hand in hand earlier on Monday.

Dressed in an elegant black evening dress, Debicki, 32, climbed into the back of a waiting taxi with her boyfriend after attending an after-show party.

Rasmussen – who bears a curious resemblance to the former Prince Phillip of The Crown, Matt Smith – looked suitably neat in a black tuxedo and matching shirt as he followed her into the backseat.

The previous day they were hand in hand on a shopping trip in London, with Debicki laughing with her new boyfriend as they enjoyed a hug and kiss.

Debicki was rumored to be in a relationship with her co-star in The Night Manager, Tom Hiddleston, but never confirmed a romance.

She will make her debut as the late Princess of Wales on Wednesday night, as The Crown is constantly beaten back by her choice to dramatize traumatic moments from Diana’s final years, including her infamous 1995 interview with Martin Bashir and the Paris car accident that left her behind. caused premature death. in 1997.

In a new interview with British Vogue, she shared how she was “overwhelmed” by the prospect of taking on the character — and how she thought about recreating her “revenge dress” scenes.

During the chat, she also thought about wearing Diana’s iconic black “revenge dress” – which she said was “super daring” for the time.

With season five of The Crown described as “Hollywood-scale trolls,” there has been an avalanche of backlash surrounding the Netflix show and its “insensitive” portrayal of the royal family in the 1990s.

Created and written by Peter Morgan, The Crown has been a hit for Netflix since it was first released in 2016, with the main characters regularly rearranged to follow the ages of royalty in their respective timelines.

Fan hunger for the show is stronger than ever, with viewers counting down the days for the series launch, even as it has been criticized for sensational events and fictional scenes.

With the previous two seasons of The Crown spanning the three decades before the 1990s, the entire team has now been recast for the 13-year period from 1990 to 2003 of this series.

The new series focuses heavily on the fallout between Princess Diana, played by Elizabeth, and King Charles (then Prince of Wales) as portrayed by Dominic, and will show some lows for the royals.

Season five of The Crown will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, November 9 at 8am GMT.

There will be 10 episodes in the season in line with the previous four seasons and they will all be released simultaneously on the streaming platform.
