Strictly Come Dancing star Molly Rainford has brushed aside rumors of a behind-the-scenes romance after being paired up with two different stars on the BBC show.
In an exclusive MailOnline conversation with her dance partner Carlos Gu, the CBBC star said this year’s lineup was “very dull” because of the passion behind the scenes, after reports that she had a close relationship with Nikita Kuzmin and Tyler. West.
Molly, who will be dancing the rumba this weekend, also hinted that their take on the quintessentially romantic dance will be “more emotional than sexy,” paying tribute to relationships with loved ones.

Asked about the infamous Strictly curse, Molly told MailOnline: “It’s so funny because everyone is asking ‘oh what’s the gossip? Who doesn’t get along with it” and I’ll be honest, it’s all they say about the Strictly family, we all get along really well.
‘I do have a dressing room, that’s Fleur, she’s become like a big sister. I think because she’s done the bottom two a few times, we have each other to talk it out and move on together, which is nice.”
“I just think it’s so random, I like how people try to find it when it doesn’t happen, it’s pretty funny, I think maybe because we get along so well that they mistake it for something else, but it’s true that everyone is really really good friends.’

When the former Britain’s Got Talent star was keen on the prospect of a behind-the-scenes romance, he added: ‘No! In that respect we are a very boring series!’
It comes after Molly was rumored to be dating Strictly pro Nikita Kuzmin, after the pair was pictured putting on a cozy showing at the National Television Awards.
It was also reported last month that the singer had grown close to Tyler West, with sources claiming the pair “put on a flirty show backstage.”
After avoiding elimination in last week’s dance-off, Molly and Carlos take to the floor on Saturday with a rumba to Whitney Houston’s All The Man That I Need.

Discussing how the training for the show had gone, she said, “The training is going well. It’s definitely harder than I thought it would be the rhumba. I think it’s a little sneaky because it’s slow.”
While the rumba previously earned the title The Dance Of Love, both Molly and Carlos explained that their routine will be an ode to emotional relationships over complete passion.
“It’s kind of funny, but Carlo has obviously been trying to explain to me with dance what to think about, you’re that character, it’s not about Molly and Carlos, so I’m really trying to use my acting experience to get me over that initial clumsiness,” she said.
“We kind of took this from an angle, it doesn’t have to be about a relationship in that sense, it’s about your relationship with your mother, your father, your parent, your brother or sister, whoever much for you mean, a best friend, so we’re trying to look at it from that angle.”
Coming soon: Molly, who will be dancing the rumba this weekend, also hinted that their take on the quintessentially romantic dance will be “more emotional than sexy.”
Carlos added: ‘Because we consider this dance to be a more emotional dance than a sexual dance. Instead of the sexual dance, it’s more about telling the story through our bodies with each other, rather than being sexy so that the people at home can feel the story with us.
“We tell you a story, everyone in their life had someone through to them, to whom we want to send this message.”
On Sunday’s results show, Molly burst into tears when she learned she would be taking part in the dance-off and the star has now admitted that despite being in the same spot before, things hit harder this week.
She told MailOnline: “You know what, it was a shame to be in the dance-off because we really loved that dance and we had such a good time on Saturday so it was pretty tough being in the dance-off to be.
“But it was easier this time to calm myself because as much as it was a shock to be there, we’ve been there before, so I thought ‘oh okay, instead of it getting to me this is me,’” what I did a little last time.

“I let the nerves in the dance-off get the better of me the following week, but this time I really tried to forget about it and start this week with a clean slate.
“It helps, but this is such an important dance for Carlos, it means he has every confidence in this dance, so that reassures me a little bit more, which is really nice.”
“It’s such a funny moment, you never know how you’re going to react to that, at first I was kind of ‘okay here we go” and after talking to the judges I was like ‘no this can’t be the one !”
“But I’m having the best time in this, and I’m having the best time being taught by Carlos, so it was just sad, but I managed to wipe the tears, shake them off and just be there.” to go for it and I’m thankful I just got to do such a beautiful dance again.’

Molly also teased the second series of her space adventure Nova Jones, which began last month on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.
She said: “The second series has a lot more crazy Nova looks, which I’m so excited about, and no two looks look alike.
“A lot more great music, some really really good tunes this season and there are so many more guest appearances and guest characters who are so excited, just more of everything really!”
And while Molly had already finished filming series two when she started her Strictly training, she did reveal that Carlos was coming along to the show’s launch night.
He said: ‘It was the first time I watched it and I laughed the whole time. It’s so funny, and just seeing a different side of Molly is so much fun.”
