Nick Carter appeared to be healing at home with his children on Sunday when he posted a photo to Instagram a week after the tragic death of his brother Aaron Carter.
“After being gone for so long,” Nick captioned the photo of him hugging his kids, “it just feels good to be with them again.”
The 42-year-old Backstreet Boys frontman returned from the group’s European tour this weekend, reuniting with his three children after his younger brother Aaron was found dead in his bathtub on Nov. 5 at age 34.

Nick’s adorable 19-month-old daughter Pearl was beaming in the center of the photo as her siblings smiled on both sides, clearly happy to have their dad back home.
The crooner gave his youngest a kiss on the forehead while his other kids donned onesie pajamas, embellished with grinning jack-o’-lanterns and smiley faces.
Carter – who shares his three children with his wife Lauren Kitt – is touring Europe with the Backstreet Boys, playing a series of sold-out concerts in several countries.
He was in London at the time of his younger brother’s death in Lancaster, California, and the couple were reportedly unable to mend their troubled relationship before Aaron’s sudden death.

“My heart is broken today,” Nick wrote on Instagram a day after his death in a tribute to Aaron.
“Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never faded.”
“I’ve always held out hope that he would somehow walk a healthy path and eventually find the help he so desperately needed.”
Nick’s caption continued on his complicated feelings surrounding Aaron’s heartbreaking death and dealt with the element of his younger brother’s protracted struggle with addiction.
“Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss,” he wrote. “But the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know.’

Fans of both brothers have filled Nick’s comment section with love and support, with one of Nick’s European followers sharing how happy they were to see Nick at home with family.
