Helicopter crash in Charlotte claims lives of WBTV meteorologist, local TV news pilot<!-- wp:html --><p>CHARLOTEE, NC – A helicopter crash in Charlotte Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a local Meteorologist and the pilot, official said.</p> <p>WBTV Meteorologist Jason Myers and Sky3 pilot Chip Tayag were on board the aircraft that  went down near I-77 and Nations Ford Road.</p> <p>“The WBTV family is grieving a terrible loss,” the news outlet said in a statement. “Our news helicopter Sky3 crashed mid-day Tuesday with two of our colleagues on board. Meteorologist Jason Myers and pilot Chip Tayag lost their lives. We are working to comfort their families in this difficult time. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. CHARLOTEE, NC – A helicopter crash in Charlotte Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a local Meteorologist and the pilot, official said.

WBTV Meteorologist Jason Myers and Sky3 pilot Chip Tayag were on board the aircraft that  went down near I-77 and Nations Ford Road.
