As a result, it'll have a longer lifespan than the 2021 model. </p> <p>That's not to say that the 2021 Apple TV 4K is a bad media streamer. It supports most of the best video and audio standards, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and Dolby Atmos. The only standard it's missing from the 2022 model is <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/tech/what-is-hdr-tv" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HDR10+</a>, and it uses the older A12 processor. The remote is the same, except the newer version uses USB-C to recharge versus Lightning in the older model.
