This is the adorable moment when a mother monkey hands her newborn baby straight into the arms of its loving father in India.
Photographer Punyavir Sharma, 41, captured the baby langur monkey’s first moments in Kanha Tiger Reserve, India.
He said: ‘We were on our regular safari, tracking tigers in the forest. On the way we saw a group of langurs monkeys playing on the road.
“We stopped there for a while and started to observe their activities.
“I saw a couple who were very busy with their newborn baby. I started to capture some of the most beautiful moments of love and care.”

The gray langur monkey, also known as the hanuman monkey, is a land monkey native to India. With an extension of 30 inches, their tails add an extra 40 inches.
Langur monkeys can jump up to 15 feet when moving between trees and can safely descend 40 feet in one jump.
Punyavir said: ‘Monkeys are a large and diverse mammal group to which most primates belong, they are quite notorious and also mischievous in their behavior.

He added: ‘God made both humans and animals, both are so different, but when it comes to parenting, both loving and caring for their babies with the same intensity, their behavior becomes exactly the same’

“When it comes to photographing them, they are one of the most interesting subjects to capture due to their playful and infamous activities.
“God made both humans and animals, both are so different, but when it comes to parenting loving and caring for their babies with the same intensity, their behavior becomes exactly the same.
“I was so busy capturing these moments. I enjoyed every bit. I can’t express the feeling.’
