‘Murder’ on college campus as police arrest suspect in his 40s after man died of ‘serious injuries’
A man died at a house in St Paul’s Road, Cheltenham at around 1:30pm on Wednesday.
Police said they arrested a local man in his 40s on suspicion of murder.
The property, located near a college campus, remained sealed overnight.

A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead inside a house in Cheltenham today.
Gloucestershire Police said they detained a man in his 40s after he was called to the property on St Paul’s Road at around 1:30pm.
The alleged murder victim was said to have sustained a “serious injury” and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The house, located a few meters from the Francis Close Hall campus of the University of Gloucestershire, remains cordoned off tonight.
Gloucestershire Police said they detained a man in his 40s after he was called to the property on St Paul’s Road at around 1:30pm.
Police tape keeping the section of St Paul’s Road closed is expected to remain in place for several days, reports planet radius.
Police said: “Despite the best efforts of those who provided medical assistance at the scene, the man was pronounced dead.”
“Officers are in the early stages of an investigation and are appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken to police to contact them.
“A man in his 40s and from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the ongoing investigation and remains in police custody at this time.”
On its Twitter page, the force said it was “requesting witnesses.”
