Former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said Thursday that he “can’t do this anymore” after the former commander-in-chief’s “KEY ANNOUNCEMENT” turned out to be digital trading cards.
Bannon, who in October was sentenced to four months in prison following his conviction for contempt of congressional charges, reacted with exasperation to the flat revelation on his Right Side Broadcasting Network.
He flatly admitted that while he considers Trump one of America’s greatest presidents, digital business cards went a step too far.
Bannon, speaking to Trump’s White House advisers Dr. Sebastian Gorka and Steve Cortés on his show ‘The War Room,’ blamed business partners or communications personnel Bannon believes drove these NFTs against Trump. .
He commented that he “won’t find three harder cores” than himself and his two co-hosts, and Bannon, who continues to support Trump and his 2024 presidential campaign, said the NFTs made him appear not to be taking the race seriously.
The former Breitbart News chairman remains out of prison on appeal after he was sentenced for defying a congressional subpoena from the House’s Jan. 6 committee.
Former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon is the latest ally of the former president to turn on him, after Trump mocked an ‘IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT’ that turned out to be digital trading cards.

Above is an image of Trump’s new digital trading card.
He said: ‘I can’t do this anymore. He’s one of the best presidents ever, but I have to tell you: whoever, what business partner and anybody on the communications team and anybody at Mar-a-Lago, and I love the people there, but we’re at war. They should be fired today.
Trump left his supporters on the edge of their seats when he touted an “important announcement” just weeks after unveiling his run for president again in 2024.
There was speculation it could be the announcement of a rally after a hiatus since the midterms or a move that could flip the Republican primary.
Despite the anticipation, it turned out to be a line of his own digital trading cards, retailing for $99 each and featuring him as various dream characters, including Superman and as a cowboy with a hunting rifle.
They will be gone, I think, very soon! Trump wrote on Truth Social, confirming that he would be joining his wife Melania in the NFT game.
‘IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!’ he said. ‘My official Donald Trump digital trading card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART from my life and career! Collect all your favorite digital Trump cards, much like baseball cards, but hopefully much more exciting.”
Two versions of Trump’s trading cards
In a video announcement of the cards, Trump began: “Hello everyone, I’m Donald Trump, I hope your favorite president of all time, better than Lincoln, better than Washington, with a major announcement to make.” I’m making my first official Donald J. Trump NFT collection.’
Each card supposedly enters the buyer into a raffle where they could win a dinner with the former president, a golf trip or a Zoom call with him.
“Buy one and you will join a very exclusive community,” Trump said.
President Biden mocked Trump’s “important announcement” that he was selling electronic business cards while touting what he saw as his administration’s victories in recent weeks.
‘I’ve also had some IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS in the last few weeks…’ the president began.
He then listed lower inflation, the signing of the gay marriage bill, the arrival home of female NBA star Britney Griner from Russia, lower gas prices than a year ago and ‘10,000 new jobs’. well paid in Arizona’.
Inflation in November rose 7.1 percent from a year earlier, a decline for the fifth straight month, below the peak of 9.1 percent in July. As of Thursday, the average price of a gallon of gasoline is $3.19. This time last year it was $3.31, although it increased to over $5 a gallon over the summer.
Biden also credited his administration for Taiwan semiconductor company TSMC’s $40 billion investment to build operations in Phoenix.
Trump’s ‘main ad’ was a collection of digital trading cards
The release comes as recent polls show Republicans are angry with the former president after he portrayed himself as a lame candidate with a series of recent moves, including dining with Kanye West and white supremacist Nick Fuentes.
“AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO!” Trump said along with a clip posted on Truth Social on Tuesday. Tomorrow I will make an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. Thank you!’
The clip was a cartoon of himself posing as Superman outside Trump Tower, one of three properties where his legal team had a contractor search for additional government material, as part of a Justice Department investigation into a treasure trove of classified documents discovered in Mar-a-Lago.
That investigation is one of multiple challenges facing Trump on the legal front. Despite a bevy of lawyers, a federal judge he appointed in Florida this week finally put an end to a special teacher Trump had demanded, after being struck down by an appeals court.
Last month, the 76-year-old former president announced that he would run again in 2024, and many had speculated that his “important announcement” could be related to his campaign.
Trump has yet to hold a campaign rally since announcing his candidacy, so the taunt sparked speculation that he could provide an update on his plans to connect with voters as Republicans weigh who they want to carry the party flag after he the Republican Party captured the House but lost a Senate seat.
Trump jumped to 2024 by announcing a race to retake the White House, just days after the November election, when some Republicans blamed the former president for endorsing candidates like Georgia’s Herschel Walker, who lost.
Now their numbers are beginning to drop against DeSantis, the governor of Florida.
A new Wall Street Journal poll of likely voters, conducted two years before Election Day 2024, shows DeSantis in the lead. Among likely primary voters, the poll found that 54 percent favored DeSantis, compared with 38 percent who backed Trump.
That lead grows to 30 points among more moderate Republicans, though they tend to be a more marginal force in the primary process.
DeSantis is also viewed more favorably, at 43 percent compared to Trump’s 36 percent.
Leading Republicans rallied against the former president’s third candidacy after the party’s lackluster performance in the midterm elections, and even Trump’s staunchest allies have refused to come to his support.
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell has included attacks on the former president in his last three weekly news conferences. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy responded to the question on Wednesday.
“We haven’t talked about it yet,” he said at a news conference when asked if he planned to endorse Trump after Trump endorsed him as a speaker.
