Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was found dead in his seaside home hours after being attacked.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, lived on Frances Road in Bournemouth.
An ambulance and police were called to the house on Saturday morning where a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder, Dorset police confirmed, adding that all three were known to the victim.

Police added that according to reports, the victim was attacked at his Bournemouth address around 10pm on Friday.
A 39-year-old man from Bournemouth and a 28-year-old man from Poole have been arrested on suspicion of the man’s murder. The mirror.
A 34-year-old woman from Wareham, Dorset, has also been arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender.
The detached property remained under lockdown over the weekend as a homicide squad from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) continued its investigation.
MCIT Detective Inspector Neil Third said: ‘Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has sadly passed away, and they are being kept fully informed of the progress of our prompt investigation.

“We are continuing to carry out a number of investigations and are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Frances Road during the Friday evening or early hours of Saturday or who has further information that would aid our investigation, please contact us up.
“Our investigation so far shows that the victim and those arrested knew each other.”
Mr Third added: ‘A cordon will remain at the Frances Road address while we conduct our investigation and there will be an increased police presence in the area.’
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Dorset Police said today: ‘Detectives have launched an investigation into the death of a man in Bournemouth and are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

“We received a report at 10:08 am on Saturday that a man in his 40s had stopped responding to an address in Frances Road. Officers arrived at the scene, along with the ambulance service and very saddened, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His family has been notified and will be kept informed by members of the investigative team. HM Coroner has also been informed.’
It was reported that the man had been assaulted at the address around 10 p.m. on Friday. Detectives from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) are investigating the death.
