Josie Gibson reveals she’s hosting Alison Hammond on Christmas Day

They’re firm friends, and both single mums. 

And on Monday’s instalment of This Morning, Josie Gibson, 37, revealed that she’s hosting Alison Hammond, 47, on Christmas Day, but still hasn’t got a turkey. 

The TV star didn’t confirm whether her son Reggie, four, or Alison’s son Aiden, 17, would be with them for the festive feast at her Bristol home. 

Craig Doyle revealed of Josie: ‘She’s got no Turkey! She’s got half the country coming over and she’s got no turkey’ while Josie urged: ‘Don’t tell Alison, don’t tell Alison. Alison’s coming!’

And the blonde TV host is taking her turn to host Alison, after the Brummie star hosted her for Christmas Day last year. 

Josie shares son Reggie with her ex-partner Terry. The former couple split in 2018.

Alison shares son Aiden with her ex-husband Noureddine Boufaied. 

Alison was married to the cab driver from Manchester and found out she was pregnant shortly after appearing on the third series of Big Brother.

The star refused to name who the father was at the time, but later posed for a magazine shoot together while she was three months pregnant.

It is not clear when she split from Noureddine but she later went on to get engaged to security guard Jamie Savage in 2014 before calling time on the romance in 2017. 

Back in March, Josie revealed how her close friend Alison helped her settle into her This Morning role. 

The bubbly Big Brother winner, has gone from an outside broadcaster to one of show’s more popular rotational presenters, and she said Alison has helped give her a much needed confidence boost.  

‘She gives very good advice’, she told new magazine of her friendship with Alison, herself a former Big Brother contestant. 

‘Even before I’d presented the main show on This Morning, if would ever go into the main show she’d say to put me on open talkback – where you can hear the whole gallery talking – to practise. 

‘I’d say, “I don’t want to do that”, and she’d say “You’re doing it, if you don’t push yourself, you’re never going to get further.”‘ 

Josie, who spent Christmas Day 2021 with Alison and her young son at their family home in Birmingham, added: ‘She’d help anyone out. She’s too kind, to her own detriment sometimes.’
