Accused killer Ashley Gaddie posed for an eerie selfie at the same picturesque tourist spot where he’s currently in a tense stand-off with police.
The tattooed tradesman took a photo of himself on a walking trail with Wentworth Falls in the background in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney several years ago.
Gaddie, 33, has been traced to the very same location after police launched a massive manhunt for him over the alleged murder of football coach and teacher Dannielle Finlay-Jones near Penrith on the weekend.
On Tuesday night, response squads swarmed the area with specially trained police negotiators engaged with the alleged fugitive perched at the top of one of the precarious clifftops at at Fletcher’s Lookout.
Daily Mail Australia understands Gaddie was located there mid-afternoon before police quickly cordoned off the surrounding area from around 4pm.

A PolAir helicopter circled the vicinity while ambulance remained on standby on the ground.
Several police vehicles where also at the roped-off scene with teams of uniformed officers, tactical response units and detectives surrounding the lookout popular with tourists and bushwalkers.
Police describe it as an ongoing self-harm incident which could continue well into the night.
A manhunt for Gaddie was launched after his date Dannielle Finlay-Jones, 31, was found dead with severe head injuries at a friend’s Cranebrook home in western Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
Neighbours reported seeing a man climbing from a window and running from the house around 5am that morning.

Ms Finlay-Jones met up with Gaddie at The Marsden Brewhouse, in Marsden Park, on Saturday night after the pair recently met online

It comes after Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed how he wooed women on dating app Tinder with mirror selfies and photos of himself cuddling puppies.
Gaddie’s dating app profile features a gallery of pictures showing the tradie posing in hi-vis, kissing dogs and going on hikes.
In the ‘interests’ section, Gaddie boasts that he loves ‘sushi, travel, road trips, hiking, and the gym’.
In one photo, Gaddie can be seen posing in a light grey singlet and shorts inside an elevator as he takes a mirror selfie.
Other images show him wearing protective gear as he works on a construction site, on a nature walk, and taking a selfie with a waterfall in the background.

It’s not clear whether Gaddie and Ms Finlay-Jones met on Tinder or another dating app.
Daily Mail Australia also revealed Gaddie has been the subject of five apprehended violence orders taken out by police on behalf of five different women between 2017 to 2022.
Gaddie is also under a court imposed supervision order for choking one of the women on the NSW south coast in 2020, court records show.
He was convicted of assault, destroying property, stalking and common assault on December 2 last year and hit with a two-year community order.
He was also ordered to complete 200 hours of community service.

While the young teacher and Gaddie connected on a dating app in early December, it is understood they met for the first time at the Marsden Brewhouse in Marsden Park on Saturday night before returning to the Cranebrook home in the early hours of Sunday.
Her body was found by distraught friends eight hours later.
Police believe Ms Finlay-Jones introduced Gardie to her friends during the pub date.
It was the last time they saw her until they discovered her body when they went to check on her about 2.30pm on Sunday.

According to social media, Ms Finlay-Jones was a support officer at the NSW Department of Education and was the Director of Female Football.
She was also a coordinator for Ramsgate RSL Football Club and spoke on behalf of the club in videos on their social media pages promoting women’s sports.
A friend said Ms Finlay-Jones was an ‘incredible person inside and out’.
‘She is cherished by everyone who knew her and words cannot describe the shock that this has happened,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.
‘She did not deserve this and will be dearly missed.’

It remains unclear where Gaddie was currently employed. In October last year, he wrote in a mining Facebook group seeking work in oil exploration.
Records also show he previously operated a personal training business from 2012 to 2015.
A long term resident of the apartment block in north-western Sydney where Gaddie lived until sometime over a month ago, said he had lived there for about six months with a blonde woman and another man.
‘I recognise him because of the tattoos,’ she said, ‘I didn’t have anything to do with him, just saw him come and go.’

The murder scene was sealed off from prying eyes by police who stood guard over the home on Tuesday.
Neighbours revealed forensic experts had scoured the area in the hunt for clues on Monday, with the search including the neighbouring properties where vehicles were painstakingly checked for fingerprints.
A neighbour across the road from the grisly crime scene revealed the owner of the home had only recently moved in within the last few months but had been holding regular Saturday night parties with small groups of friends.
‘We often him saw holding parties with maybe two or three cars and about 10 people,’ said the neighbour who declined to give her name.
‘They weren’t rowdy parties, just gatherings of friends but he seemed a quiet type whenever we said hi to him in the street.
‘We were at a family gathering at the weekend so we weren’t here when it happened but it has sent a chill through us. We’re going to get CCTV now, to at least watch over the front of the house.’
