Starting today, you can even install a smart toilet in your home, enabled with Alexa, LED mood lighting and a speaker – that’s if you have around £10,000 to spare.
The Numi 2.0 smart toilet was first introduced by Wisconsin-based company Kohler at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2019, but has now gone on sale.
It features a luxurious heated seat, automatic flushing and hands-free opening and closing of the lid, as well as an air dryer for the bottom part.

The toilet can be installed in homes from today for £9,442 ($11,500). The toilet has a fantastic cleaning system that uses ultraviolet lights to ensure that small debris particles are removed.
Users can connect via Bluetooth to the Kohler Konnect app to use surround sound options, and all other features are controlled from one remote.
The toilet also includes a built-in bidet that can be adjusted for temperature, position, and pressure.
Many of the bathroom features also focus on making it as clean as possible.
This includes having ultraviolet lights to clean the bidet and an automatic spray machine to remove any residual urine or feces inside the toilet bowl.
Kohler said the toilet is a “spa-like environment” that makes the toileting experience as relaxing as possible.
But the relaxing bath experience comes at a high price: it costs £9,442 ($11,500) to buy.
The toilet has been delivered to dealers and will be available for direct purchase in the coming days.
However, it is not the first smart toilet to surprise, and some can even detect various diseases. in feces and urine.
Toto’s Neorest NX2, which can be bought for £10,710 ($13,000), can raise and lower the toilet depending on who is sitting on it.
As with the Numi 2.0, it can also be downloaded on its own or via a remote control. Users can then use the air-dry system to clean before getting up.

It then uses a 220-nanometer ultraviolet light to break down the “microscopic waste particles” left in the container.
Other toilets have more practical uses.
For example, one created by Stanford University used cameras, test strips, and sensors to identify warning signs for 10 diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
It uses a fingerprint scanner on photographic images and flush with the anus to differentiate between different users.
