Gripping details of the final moments of two police officers shot by a trio of doomsday preppers have emerged after they said goodbye at a joint memorial service in Brisbane.
Daily Mail Australia has learned that Constable Matthew Arnold was killed with a single shot from a rifle, while Constable Rachel McCrow’s initial injury was unlikely to be life-threatening.
Constable Arnold was shot in the stomach last week when he and Constable McCrow were ambushed at a Wiembilla estate in the Western Downs district of Queensland.
The bullet traveled down Constable Arnold’s spine to somewhere near his neck and he died almost instantly.

Constable Matthew Arnold (above) was killed with one shot from a rifle, while Constable Rachel McCrow’s initial injury was probably not life-threatening. The two agents were killed in Wiembilla on December 12 by Doomsday preppers Nathaniel, Gareth and Stacey Train.
Constable McCrow was first hit in the leg with a bullet or rifle bullets and had been trying to stop the blood flow from the wound with a tourniquet when she was shot in the head at close range.
It has previously been reported that Doomsday preppers Nathaniel, Gareth, and Stacey Train took Constable Arnold’s Glock pistol and used it to kill Constable McCrow.
Four officers had gone to the Trains’ home, about 300 km northwest of Brisbane, around 4:30 pm on 12 December to check on Nathaniel Train’s whereabouts.
It is understood that Constable McCrow, 29, and Constable Arnold, 26, arrived together in a vehicle and met a car carrying Constable Keely Brough and Constable Randall Kirk, both 28.

Officers McCrow and Arnold honked their horns to alert residents to their presence and when there was no movement from inside the house, the four officers got out of their car and jumped over a locked gate.
Seconds later, the trains opened fire on the officers, hitting three.
Constable Kirk was shot in the leg but managed to escape. Constable Brough was able to escape to hide in nearby bushes as the gunmen tried to track her down.
The terrified officer texted her loved ones, telling them she felt her time was almost up. The murderous trio then set fire to the bush in an attempt to flush her out.
Neighbor Alan Dare, 58, ran to the property after hearing gunshots and seeing smoke and was shot dead.

Constable Brough was able to keep in touch with her colleagues and was eventually rescued by a specialist tactical police team that had arrived on the scene.
The gunmen’s reign of terror continued for several more hours until they were finally killed by members of the Special Emergency Response Team at around 10:30 pm.

Constables McCrow and Arnold were posthumously awarded the Queensland Police Valor Medal, Queensland Police Service Medal, National Police Service Medal and National Medal while on duty.
Gareth Train has been revealed as an idiotic conspiracy theorist who posted deranged messages in the comments sections of fringe news websites.
In an online diatribe, Gareth wrote that the Australian government was responsible for the Port Arthur massacre, which killed 35 people in 1996.
“Anyone who watched the live media coverage at the time and was aware of the political deception that preceded it knows that this was a government psychological operation to disarm the Australian people,” he wrote in November 2020.

Just two months earlier, Gareth had claimed that ‘chemical agents’ had been dropped over Australia, covering large parts of NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
“We are now being poisoned and chemically manipulated on a massive scale,” he wrote.
Gareth also regularly shared his distrust of the SERT squad that arrived at his home and shot him dead.
“The state-sponsored terror squads – SOG, SERT and other special people are just paramilitary hammers of the government,” he said last September.
His most outrageous claims were from last April, where he spoke of an “occult blood sacrifice” which he claimed was responsible for the death of Princess Diana and 9/11.
“Most don’t accept that Princess Diana’s death was an occult blood sacrifice to be enchanted or the blood sacrifice of 9/11 or the war machine,” he said.
