A tweet from Donald Trump Jr. mocking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with a naked photo of Hunter Biden was removed by Twitter on Thursday.
The former president’s son posted the fake photo late Wednesday after Zelensky received an enthusiastic reception for his speech to a rare joint session of Congress.
The mash-up depicted a naked Hunter Biden standing next to Zelenskyy as the wartime leader presented a Ukrainian flag signed by frontline soldiers to Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Twitter removed the image for unspecified Terms of Use violations.
The tweet highlights the bitter opposition to helping Ukraine defend itself against the Russian invasion in the MAGA wing of the Republican Party.
Don Jr. previously labeled Zelenskyy an “ungrateful international prosperity queen” in a tweet that remains live.
Despite widespread bipartisan support for Ukraine, some of Trump’s far-right supporters have opposed the aid, arguing that the US should focus on domestic priorities.
