Grants Pass, Oregon – A man convicted of keeping a woman captive in Nevada and accused of torturing another woman in Oregon is using dating apps to evade police or find new victims, according to authorities.

Benjamin Obadiah Foster, 36, is being searched for round-the-clock by police after a woman was found near death and unconscious in Oregon on Tuesday.

A 68-year-old woman was arrested in the search for Foster for hindering the investigation, but Foster managed to escape before cops arrived.

Foster is using online dating apps to find individuals who could assist his escape or potentially become new victims, said Grants Pass police.

Grants Pass police said Foster “is actively using online dating applications to contact unsuspecting individuals who may be lured into assisting with the suspect’s escape or potentially as additional victims.”

A $2,500 reward has been offered for information leading to Foster’s arrest.

Foster served a short prison sentence in Nevada for battery and domestic violence before moving to Oregon.

Grants Pass Police Chief Warren Hensman expressed concern about Foster continuing to prey on women.
