LOS ANGELES – On Tuesday, Hollywood police officers responded to a report of a man with possible mental illness at an undisclosed address.
After investigating, they say they found that ‘elements of criminal threats had been met.’
Following the encounter, detectives obtained search and arrest warrants. During the search, they recovered multiple high-powered rifles, shotguns, handguns, and a large quantity of ammunition.
As a result of the evidence at the scene, 24-year-old Braxton Johnson of Los Angeles was arrested.
Officials told NBC LA the arrest could have prevented a ‘Las Vegas-style’ mass shooting.
