PARKLAND, FL – School district officials have confirmed that the Broward Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a phone call that was deemed “suspicious” and prompted Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School to activate a “secure code” on Wednesday.
The incident comes one day after Broward County schools commemorated the 17 individuals who lost their lives in the Valentine’s Day mass shooting at the Parkland school in 2018.
A notification was sent to parents stating that the campus is currently on lockdown, with no entry or exit allowed, and there is increased police presence on the premises.
