Newcastle weigh in on a £20m offer for Jack Harrison but Leeds are holding out for more…and they could land PSG striker Arnaud Kalimuendo with keeper Kiko Casilla potentially going to Spain

Newcastle United are willing to offer around £20million for Leeds’ versatile midfielder Jack Harrison, although the offer falls short of the player’s valuation by the Yorkshire club.
The 25-year-old is admired by Newcastle boss Eddie Howe for his attitude and work ethic and would fit more comfortably into their financial plans than a £60m plus bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.
Eddie Howe continues to build his side following their mid-season resurgence that lifted them up on the table after their big-money takeover.
Newcastle weigh in on offer for Leeds winger Jack Harrison, while Eddie Howe is a huge admirer
Howe and Newcastle ideally want a right-sided winger, but Harrison is adept on both flanks
After initially having a successful loan spell with the club, Harrison was brought in by Messianic manager Marcelo Bielsa for £11.5million and quickly established himself as one of its key players.
And as a result, the club have been busily brushing aside offers for Harrison, and they will seek to pay a higher fee than the £20million Newcastle are preparing after already losing winger Raphinha to Barcelona.
The former Manchester City midfielder can play as a fullback as well as on either flank, and it is this versatility that has captured the interest of so many clubs.

Leeds are continuing talks with Paris St Germain for striker Arnaud Kalimuendo and are looking to sack goalkeeper Kiko Casilla with interest from Spain.
Kalimuendo impressed while on loan at Lens and it’s no surprise he’s sparking interest outside the Parc des Princes.
In two years at Lens, Kalimuendo, a French U21 international, scored 21 goals and added six assists in 65 appearances.
Kiko Casilla won three Champions League titles in four years at Spanish giant Real Madrid
Kalimuendo’s versatility in attack is also likely to appeal to Leeds, who aren’t the only admirers interested in grabbing the young attacker.
He is easily deployed as a traditional No 9 striker, but has also proven that he can play behind the strikers as a No 10 and also play wide.
Leeds are also interested in free agent Juan Mata, but are not looking for a deal as it stands now, as well as a move for Stoke’s Josh Tymon to cover for injured left-back Junior Firpo, who is out for eight weeks.
Kalimuendo has been loaned to Lens for two years and he has proven to be a hit with supporters
