An incredible suburban estate is set to break a real estate record for the state of Victoria with its staggering multi-million dollar price tag.
The Georgian mansion, called Blair House, sits on a massive 7,800 sq ft estate in the affluent Melbourne suburb of Toorak and is on the market for the first time since the 1970s with an asking price of $65 million-$70 million.
If sold for the asking price, the 10-bedroom home will be the highest reported home sale in the state of Victoria, breaking the previous record when the Stonington Mansion in the Malvern suburb sold for $52.5 million in 2018.

Built in 1939, the house sits on a massive 7,800 sq ft property and is on the market for the first time since the 1970s with an asking price of $65 million – $70 million.
Surrounded by towering walls, the spectacular home is hidden from street views, so the sale has provided a rarely seen glimpse into its lavish interior and manicured gardens.
Buyer’s attorney David Morrell said: realestate.com.au that entering the property was like “driving into an English estate” and claims the new owners would have to spend an additional $15 million to renovate the 1939-built house.
“You have to have a really big appetite to want to buy that particular property,” he said, and he believes there are “two or three” interested buyers.
“You don’t get change in three years (renovating) … so it’s someone who wants to run into a big flagpole and say ‘look at me’.”

According to the Herald SunThe property was the center of a family feud after it was bequeathed to his wife, Marguerite, two daughters and son of the late engineer Nanut upon his death in 2004.
The property was appraised at $20 million in 2005 when Mr. Nanut’s will was made, but in a court document obtained by publication in 2021, his son, James, estimated the value at $60 million – $70. million.
James launched a legal battle against his mother and two sisters, who still live in the main house, in an attempt to sell the family estate.
