NNA – Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Thursday held talks with the Vatican’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and Secretary for Relations with States, Paul Richard Gallagher.
The meeting reportedly touched on the situation in Lebanon.
During the talks, Mikati stressed the importance of the Vatican’s support for Lebanon before the international community to complete the election of a president of the republic.
For his part, Cardinal Parolin emphasized readiness to help Lebanon in all fields.
