One woman has described feeling ashamed after going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and the restaurant tried to doubly accuse her of ‘eating too much’.
TikTok user Poppy, from South Wales, known on the platform as @poppypaints, revealed what happened in a video which has yielded 120,000 views.
The body-positive advocate made the clip as part of a trend where people share times when they feel ashamed.
Poppy explains that she was eating out, and after the meal the waiter brought the bill, and she noticed that she had been charged twice.
When she asked about the price, she was told she had eaten ‘too much’.

In the clip, which over 8,000 people liked, Poppy said, “I went to an all-you-can-eat buffet once.
“And when the bill came, I noticed they charged me twice. I wondered and said why? And he said I ate too much.’
In the comments, the TikTok user revealed that she had refused to pay double for the meal, writing that she “argued and paid only one flat rate.”
