Nick Kyrgios has revealed the endorsement he received from Stormzy for his failed attempt at Wimbledon glory earlier this month.
Kyrgios, 27, enjoyed a whirlwind journey to the sport’s flagship South West London, becoming the main attraction of the tournament, thanks in large part to his wild antics on the pitch.
His clash with Stefanos Tsitsipas was seen at the box office and he made headlines around the world after questioning the referee’s intelligence for refusing to give notice to his Greek rival after firing a ball into the crowd .

And while he’s been criticized by the likes of Pat Cash and John McEnroe, Kyrgios has also won a legion of fans and the Australian has revealed he received a video message from British rapper Stormzy ahead of his final against Novak Djokovic.
In a video message, Stormzy said, “Nick, we’re rooting for you, my boy. Come on, I’m here for you, bro, yeah.’
Stormzy’s motivational message did little to inspire Kyrgios to an unlikely victory as the Australian fell 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 (7-3) to give Djokovic his 21st Grand Slam victory.

Kyrgios shared the post earlier this week with the caption: “Stormzy brother I did my best.”
Despite falling short in his propensity for greatness, Kyrgios has found much support at home and Australian tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt said the 27-year-old should be ‘proud’ of his commitment to the All England Tennis club.
“Deep down, he’s still pretty disappointed that he got so close but didn’t win,” Hewitt said.
“But as I told him, he should be extremely proud of the performance over the past two weeks and throughout the entire grass field season.
“Everyone knows what firepower and playstyle he has and what he can do. He just needs to go out and believe in himself.”
