NEW YORK – City officials reported that a construction worker lost their life at the site of the new Chase Bank headquarters in midtown Manhattan.
The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was performing duties on the 12th level of the structure situated on Park Avenue between East 47th and 48th streets, WNBC reported.
The worker reportedly fell through an opening after losing his footing.
The worker was declared dead upon arrival at the location.
Following the occurrence, work at the site was put on hold, and an investigation is underway.
