Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti Tuesday launched their Back to the Beach podcast, a podcast where the stars revisit and talk about Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
Kristin revealed in the premiere episode of their Best Media Podcast how much they earned during the first season of Laguna Beach, which was filmed in 2004 when they were both in high school.
Kristin, 35, said it was about $2,500 for season one, which was an 11-episode season, with Stephen, 36, revealing that he and Lauren Conrad were renegotiating for season two.

Kristin said ‘I think $2500,’ on the podcast, via Variety.
“I don’t even think it was that much. I think it was $2,000. Lauren and I have renegotiated season two,” Stephen said.
Add: ‘It would be our last season! We were like, “We’re outta here!”‘
The show ran from 2004 to 2006 and followed high school students at a high school in Laguna Beach, California.

The students who took center stage on the show were Lauren, Stephen, Kristin, Lo Bosworth, Trey Phillips, Talan Torriero, Morgan Olsen, and Christina Schuller.
Stephen was the center of a love triangle between him, Lauren and Kristin.
Stephen and Kristin occasionally dated in high school before going their separate ways.
The show spawned another successful spin-off, The Hills, which centered around Lauren before leaving the show and followed Kristin during their time in LA.
Their Dear Media podcast was ordered for 40 episodes, with the two reality stars revisiting and discussing their show – 18 years after it first aired.

On the podcast’s debut episode, Kristin also shared how competitive she felt going to the show.
“I honestly would have done it for free. At that time, in high school, it was more of a competition for me,” Kristin said.
“Everyone wanted it and I thought, ‘I’m going to get this show!’ I’m super competitive, that hasn’t changed. So when they told us they would pay us, I thought, “Oh my God, great!”
Documenting the process in which they were chosen to be on the show, they revealed that the MTV producers were asking them questions such as who they think will be the queen of the prom and also for them to pick up their best friends at school. name and what they hate about them.
Kristin recalls writing, “I don’t know, I don’t care, as long as it’s not Lauren Conrad.”
According to the outlet, the school did not allow filming at the property after the scandal of the Super Bowl halftime show starring Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson, which resulted in weekend filming only.
As she sat watching the show 18 years later, Kristin said, “I think it’s going to be fun to go back and relive it, although I’m not gonna lie I’m a little scared to sit down and look at those years,” Kristin said.

Kristin has three children with ex-husband Jay Cutler: Camden, nine, Jaxon, eight, and Saylor, six.
Kristin and Jay married in 2013 after dating for three years with and without each other – they announced their split in April 2020; their divorce was finalized last month after 10 years together.
During the podcast, Kristin talked about their first meeting after ten years of not seeing each other in 2020; it took place after she split from now ex-husband Jay Cutler.
She hinted during the podcast that he and Stephen may or may not have kissed; they snapped a photo of their meeting and she shared it on her Instagram in 2020, making it look most like Instagram to her.

Kristin’s resume after her stint on MTV includes acting roles, her own E! Docuseries named Very Cavallari from 2018 to 2020, as did her clothing and jewelry label Uncommon James.
Stephen was a VJ on MTV’s Total Request Live before starting his acting career – he played on One Tree Hill from season four until the show ended after season nine.
He also served as writer/editor/producer and star of the comedy series Everyone Is Doing Fine with former One Tree Hill castmate James Lafferty.
The series debuted on Hulu in January 2021.
