Friends told MailOnline the devastated wife of new Yorkshire Shepherds lover Amanda Owen has been left ‘completely overwhelmed’ after he left her for the TV star.
Amanda, 48, struck up a romance with businessman Robert Davies, 71, the first since her sudden split from husband Clive.
But friends of Davis’s wife, Usami, spoke of her shock after the businessman walked out of the family home and ended their 12-year marriage after admitting an affair with Owen.
They say she discovered the affair last year when she found a love letter to her husband while cleaning his car.
A source close to Usami said, ‘She’s very sad about what happened. She can’t believe it. She gave up her banking career after meeting Rob in Tokyo and he convinced her to leave all her family and friends in Japan to start a new life with him in the UK.

Now he left her alone to start a new relationship with Amanda. She is very upset and lonely.
Amanda and web designer Mr Davies, who has been married four times, were photographed together this weekend and are said to be “inseparable”, despite their 23-year age difference.
The star and former model announced her split from Clive, 68, in July, with whom she has nine children, shortly after saying their marriage had hit a ‘rocky patch’.
Amanda and Mr. Davies have known each other for at least five years since she and Clive recruited him to update her personal website in 2018. It is believed that their friendship blossomed through working closely together.
The source close to Ms Davies said: “Yasumi suspected for some time that Robert was up to something. She felt as if he wasn’t really present around her and his head was somewhere else.
She was cleaning the car and found a handwritten note. There was no name but it was quite clear who he was.
Yasumi asked Rob for an explanation and he said that he had fallen in love with Amanda and that they had been seeing each other for five years.
It was a bolt from the blue for Yasumi. She left Japan to move to the UK for Robert and he just left.

They added, “She gave up her banking career after meeting Rob in Tokyo and he convinced her to leave all her family and friends in Japan to start a new life with him in the UK.”

The source added, “Yasumi thought she was in a happy marriage. She has a lot of good memories.
She met Rob in Japan and they got married in Tokyo. She left everything behind to follow him to the UK.
She knew he had a friendship with Amanda but thought it was nothing more than that. They went on a mud bath shoot together in 2021 and he went on her theatrical tours with her, but insisted there was nothing else for her.
“It was only when I found the letter that I realized what was going on.”
It is understood that Davies, who has three children from three previous marriages, ended his relationship with Amanda in March 2022 after his wife issued an ultimatum.
But he left after two months after rekindling romance with the Our Yorkshire Farm star.
Neighbors at Davies’ marital home in Malton, North Yorkshire, told of how Mr. Davies would occasionally go off to mow the lawn or make renovations in the house.
They said: It will stop every two weeks or so. If Yasumi is in he will say hello. He still cares about her – and she does in return – but he’s clearly moved on. They are still married but lead separate lives.

‘Now he left her alone to start a new relationship with Amanda,’ said Usami’s friend.
‘Yasumi suspected for some time that Robert was up to something,’ said the source close to Ms Davies.
They added, “She just felt like he wasn’t really present around her and his head was somewhere else.”
Mr Davies and Amanda were photographed together this weekend in Folkestone, Kent, as she was speaking at Leas Cliff Hall as part of her ‘Evening with’ tour.
Dubbed the ‘country Kardashians’, the Owen family documented their lives on the Channel 5 programme, which ran from 2018 to 2022.
“Everyone is surprised,” said the friend. Yasumi told us that she is fine and that she is strong. But you can tell she’s still in shock.
She has given up her job at an investment bank to come to Yorkshire. It’s just – she has no family here to turn to.
We feel very sorry for her. She thinks Amanda was selfish and wrapped her fingers around her husband. She put herself first.
“There is nothing secret in a relationship.”
Mr. Davies runs Iteeze Web Design Scarborough, the company behind Amanda’s website.
The famous sponsor revealed that she made the “difficult decision to separate” from Clive in a joint statement last summer.

“This has not been easy, but we believe it is the right choice for our family’s future,” the statement read.
In a statement published in October 2021, the couple said there was “pressure and tension” on their marriage.
Mr Davies posted a picture of them on Facebook in December 2018 and wrote: ‘Have you been watching Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm series about Yorkshire Shepherds? I really enjoyed working on her website earlier this year, and I’m so glad she liked it! “
Mr Davies also works part-time for Ryedale Special Families, a charity that supports people with disabled children, and has appointed Amanda as Patron in 2021.
Amanda, who now stars in Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives on More 4, was pictured with her ex in November at their eldest daughter’s graduation.
When contacted by MailOnline, Ms Davies said: ‘I was surprised and very sad to learn about Robert’s relationship with Amanda. He has always really cared for me and is such a nice person. I’ve had a beautiful life with him. But I really can’t say more than that.
