AJ McClain And his wife Rochelle Diana McClain announced this week that they’ve decided to separate temporarily in order to “work on ourselves and our marriage,” in hopes that they can reconcile in the future.
And in a sign of his commitment to his family, the Backstreet Boys star took the couple’s estranged daughters — Elliott, 10, and Lyric, six — to the Super Mario Bros. premiere in LA on Saturday, just five days away.
While making the rounds and posing for photos on the red carpet, McClain could be seen still wearing his wedding ring.
The singer and dancer, 45, appeared to be in good spirits, his arms wrapped around his daughters, who stood in front of him, as she flashed big, bright smiles.
Always thoughtful about his fashion choices, the West Palm Beach, Florida native wore faded blue jeans and a black T-shirt that he left unbuttoned to show his classic white shirt underneath.

Rounding off his look, McClain also wore black sneakers, sunglasses with light brown lenses, and a black baseball cap over his short hair that matched his well-trimmed set of beard and mustache.
Elliott showed off her funky style in a green and white blazer over a red and white striped shirt, faded blue jeans and blue and black sneakers.
She’s also pulled her long locks into a ponytail, and dyed the front two inches pink, along with a center part.
Her younger sister looked adorable in blue jeans with a purple and black checkered shirt that she left unbuttoned to reveal her pink shirt underneath.
She wore her blonde locks long and straight past her shoulders with a center part.

Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelinek from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel, the computer-animated film is based on Nintendo’s Mario video game franchise.

The voice cast includes Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Sebastian Maniscalco, Charles Martinet, and Kevin Michael Richardson.
The Super Mario Bros. movie is set to be released. In the United States on April 5, 2023 and in Japan on April 28, 2023.
It will also be available to stream on Peacock 45 days later and on Netflix in late 2023.
The McClains, who announced the news of their separation TMZAnd They made it clear that they had no intention of divorcing and that it was decided to separate to give each of them space to work on themselves.
“Marriage is hard, but it’s worth it. We’ve mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves and our marriage in hopes of building a stronger future.
The plan is to get back together and continue to nurture our love for each other and our family. We ask for respect and privacy at this time.

AJ and Rochelle, a makeup artist and hairstylist, met in October 2001 and finally tied the knot on December 17, 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel after six years of dating.

In October 2020, after returning from a trip to Las Vegas, the singer spoke about his sober journey after 20 years of drug and alcohol addiction.

After that moment, McClain kept his sobriety and worked with a program and sponsor.

During the same interview, the star of the band revealed some details behind his drug addiction, and when it all started.
“The first time I tried drugs was literally an hour before my call time to videotape the call,” he recalls. “I was off the walls” while shooting the video.
His drug addiction was kept secret for a while until fellow Backstreet Boys bandmates Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Doro began to see signs.
When things got heated up between the boys, I missed practice. They basically broke into my house, threw ice water at me while I was passed out in my bed,” he said, adding, “Everyone started catching it. It wasn’t me anymore, you know, I was just living a lie.

By September 2022, McClain revealed that he was in the best shape of his life, and that he had been one year sober during an interview with today.
The star revealed that he’s lost 32 pounds since beginning his lifestyle change in February 2022, in part by giving up alcohol and junk food and hiring a personal trainer.
McClain now considers his clean and sober birthday to be September 27, 2022.
