King Charles was pictured looking cheerful today after attending a Palm Sunday service in Gloucestershire.
His appearance comes days after his state visit to Germany, which ended Friday with a pint, where he celebrated the UK’s relations with the country.
Charles, 74, who wore a beige belted trench coat over a navy suit, He was snapped holding a palm cross after the service this morning.

The service, which takes place on the last Sunday before Easter, marks the beginning of Holy Week.

Crosses are delivered to celebrate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem several days before his crucifixion. While he was riding a donkey, people threw palm leaves at his feet and waved palm branches.

The king was supposed to be in France earlier in the week, but President Macron canceled the trip due to ongoing protests in the country over his pension reforms.
During a speech at a state banquet in his honor on Wednesday night, King Charles pledged to “strengthen ties” between the UK and Germany as he hailed the “enduring value” of the relationship between the two countries.
The King looked dapper in his tan coat which he wore over a dark gray suit with a pale blue shirt and a blue and red tie.

On the second day of his journey, Chancellor Olaf Scholz greeted him warmly upon his arrival at the Federal Chancellery.
He also toured the farmers’ market, where he and Queen Camilla sampled some of the local produce, and took home some cheese and other goodies.
On the same day, King Charles became the first British monarch to address German politicians in the Bundestag.
There were nods of approval and several rounds of applause from the MPs as His Majesty spoke of the ‘friendship’ between ‘our two countries’, and at times the King seemed sentimental to be there.
Charles also spoke movingly of the Queen’s love for Germany and how he was moved by her people’s tribute after her death last September.
“This friendship meant so much to my beloved mother, the Queen,” he added.

The king praised Germany for standing by Ukraine after the Russian invasion, saying it “threatened” Europe’s security, but he was “encouraged” by the “unity” shown by Britain, Germany and other countries.
He also joked about the rivalry between the two countries played out on the soccer field, including the Lionesses’ recent defeat of Germany’s women at Euro 2022.
There was also a welcome when he spoke of nations’ ability to laugh “with each other and at each other” and their shared love of sport, literature and music, a reference to the Beatles and Kraftwerk.
The trip ended on Friday with a toast to the King’s visit.
Charles and Camilla met hundreds of guests in the huge quayside building where hundreds of Germany’s great hope for Eurovision played.

Earlier, Charles stood shoulder to shoulder with the German president in a symbol of reconciliation as they laid wreaths in remembrance of the war’s victims.
Lord of the Lost, an industrial metal band from Hamburg formed by singer and frontman Chris Harms, will be representing Germany with “Blood & Glitter”.
King shook hands with the group, who emerged in a classic glamorous look, complete with mohican haircuts, tattoos, makeup, and body paint.
Some 1,200 guests, from business leaders investing in charities in the UK to British companies selling products in Germany, were also invited and watched the King draw and sip a pint as he toured some of the food and drink stalls.
Hamburg is closely associated with the Beatles, who cut their teeth in the city during the early 1960s, and the Silver Spoons performed a cover of the group’s hit I Saw Her Standing there for the royal family.
