Jeremy Clarkson has admitted he’s had sleepless nights after several “traumatic” deaths at his Diddly Squat farm.
The presenter-turned-farmer, 62, revealed his anguish over sending seven of his beloved pigs to the slaughterhouse, who were staying at his farm in Chipping Norton.
During an earlier episode of his Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm, his tough personality breaks down when he takes three sheep to the slaughterhouse.
It was devastatingly expensive, he said, sobbing into his car. But these hostile machines, crazy about sex and disease, have brought much joy to the farm.
Jeremy added, ‘I had grown to love having them around, but was later seen eating them in shepherd’s pie.

And then when it finally comes time to say goodbye, he always gets a little unmanly. I know I’m trying to be a farmer and that’s what farmers do. And I know I’m going to enjoy bacon, ham, and ham chops as a result.
But it is not easy, taking seven happy and healthy pigs from their home in the forest has led to their death. Especially since hog prices are so low right now, that I would almost certainly end up losing the deal.
Jeremy must have written his last column abroad as he recently appeared with a meerkat on top while on a trip to Botswana with partner Lisa Hogan, 50.

This caused his girlfriend, an artist and former model, to burst into laughter.
