Former NRL star Curtis Scott has again made headlines for his poor off-field behavior, this time for being caught on video throwing wild punches at an opposing player during a bushfight.
The incident happened while he was playing for Thirlmere in the Wests Group Macarthur A Grade competition and comes just five months after he was found guilty of threatening to kill former partner Ty Leah Clarke.
The footage shows Scott landing several blows to his opponent’s head before other players intervened and stopped the fight.
He was later fired for the strike and would face sanction from the NSWRL Match Review Committee.
Scott, who had reportedly already scored two tries in the match, claimed to have had his eye gouged out before retaliating with a flurry of punches.
Thirlmere teammate, former NRL star Blake Ferguson, backed up his claim on social media along with former Wests Tigers striker Bryce Gibbs, according to News Corp.
This incident is just the latest in a long line of disturbing off-field behavior by Scott.
In November 2022, Scott was found guilty of assaulting and threatening his former partner, Clark, during their two-year relationship.
The court heard Scott said “f*** you, I’m going to kill you,” called Clark “w***e” and “s**t,” and also threatened to kill him, before driving his car into a tree.
He was sentenced to a 12-month community correctional order and fined $1,400. Judge Daniel Covington found Scott guilty of assaulting Ms. Clarke, causing her real bodily harm, and intimidating her with a phone call.

Scott played for the Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders before his contract expired
The court heard that Scott had put his hand on Mrs. Clarke’s neck and “shot” her up an atrium in the wall, causing her to whip her arm and hit her with an egg-sized lump on the head.
His Raiders contract was terminated in 2021 after a series of bad behaviour, including being arrested and charged with seven offences, including assaulting two police officers, in an incident in which he slept under a tree in Moore Park.
The charges were eventually dismissed after camera footage of the arresting officers was shown in court.
Scott was also sent off when playing for Melbourne Storm in 2018 for hitting then Manly star Dylan Walker.
Walker suffered a broken eye from the incident and Scott was hit with a two-match suspension.
