NNA – Maronite Patriarch, Mar Beshara Boutros Al-Rahi on Tuesday met in Bkerki with French Ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo.
In the wake of the meeting, the French Ambassador drew attention to the paramount importance of “unifying efforts to reach a way out of the current crisis in Lebanon, specifically the political crisis, via steady and reliable dialogue with His Eminence.”
“We appreciate his [Al-Rahi’s] constructive role in seeking a solution to the nation’s crisis,” the French diplomat added.
Grillo further noted that her visit to the Maronite Patriarch had been an occasion to exchange views on the current situation, affirming her country’s participation in all efforts to find a consensual solution in the Lebanese crisis. “The Lebanese need concrete answers to their questions, and this is the responsibility of their political leaders,” she added.
Al-Rahi separately met with Caretaker Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar, with whom he discussed the country’s general situation.
