This is the terrifying moment a huge pine tree fell inches away from fans watching The Masters at Augusta National, shortly before play was suspended on Friday.
The frightening moment took place next to the 17th green during the second round of the championship, amid electrical storms in the area.
Live television coverage caught the tree landing in the middle of the crowd, and soon after Masters officials confirmed it Daily Mail.com No one was hurt in the terrible accident.
As the tree falls, the TV commentary team can be heard shouting, ‘Oh my God, watch out! Oh my God, I hope everyone is doing well. Holy smoke.’
The trees around this part of the course are believed to be Loblolly Pines, which can grow to heights of 98-115 feet.
