Pets are annoying. We have them all. royal? Healthy pedestrians walk in front of you at a snail’s pace, blocking the entire sidewalk. Annoying chewing. People who are always late (I seem to know a lot of them).
Impulsive Sales Associates: No thanks, I’d rather be left alone to browse in peace. Loud people, I’ve discovered over the years, I really can’t do that – it’s too exhausting trying to get a word in the edges and life’s too short.
When it comes to fashion, I have some niggles, too. First, dungarees on adult women. If you own a pair, please don’t hate on me – I’m sure they look great on you – but I don’t get their cuteness at all.
Lots of women seem to love wearing them, so maybe I’m missing something? But unless you’re on a Potter’s wheel, making like Demi Moore in Ghost, decorating your house or maybe proudly cutting your roses, I think dungarees should be left hanging in the kids’ section.
Because while denim shorts, without a doubt, look adorable on little girls with pigtails, they make the rest of us (save for baby TV presenters) look like boobies.
Team linen with structured pieces like the pullover to balance it out. Material Girl: Linen blazer by Massimo Dutti, cotton trousers by Zara
All-day Lycra is another of my surprising go-to styles. I love a good pair of leggings for the gym or jogging, and I can totally understand throwing them on during a school run.
However, your everyday Lycra all day when you’re just pretending you’re always on your way to the gym is wrong.
I don’t want this column to be all about harassment, though. And something that definitely isn’t making me cringe this month is going back to natural fabrics like organic cotton and linens, thanks to the advent of spring.
Designers and high street designers return to linen every year—we just need to learn to relax about wrinkles. Consider it part of the beauty of the look. Personally, I like to wear a linen one-piece with a more structured item like a blazer or jeans to balance it out.
Jennifer Aniston is by far one of my favorites when it comes to getting it right at any event
And when it comes to celebrity outfits this spring, can we take a moment to enjoy Jennifer Aniston’s ultra-chic wardrobe.
It’s by far one of my favorites when it comes to always getting it right at an event. Her recent appearances in New York and Paris to promote her new comedy Murder Mystery 2 on Netflix highlight her carefully defined style, loyal to the same wardrobe foundations since the ’90s. And it works.
