Beloved Mexican artist Julián Figueroa has passed away at the age of 27, according to Mexico’s National Association of Performers.
“The National Association of Performers announces the death of member Julian Figueroa,” the organization said in a statement Sunday, translated into English from Spanish.
The statement continued, “The actor and singer has released various albums such as Julián Figueroa y su banda.” To his family and friends our sincere condolences.
Figueroa died in Mexico City on Sunday, the people adding that his most recent projects were a solo album in the works and a role in the telenovela Mi camino es amarte.
Both of his parents were in show business, as his late father, singer Joan Sebastian, passed away in 2015; While his mother is actress Maribel Guardia.

On Monday, Guardia posted on Instagram a post about her son’s tragic death.
In a post translated from Spanish into English, she said, “I am saddened to announce the death of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who unfortunately preceded us in parting on this level.”
Guardia said she was at the theater when her child was found unconscious at his home.
“They called 911 and when the ambulance and police arrived, they found that he was already dead, with no signs of violence,” Guardia said. “The medical report indicates that he died of acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.”
The Guardia asked for privacy for the family, and said funeral procedures would be private.
Among the popular songs in Figueroa’s catalog include Volaré and Cómo Olvidar.
Figueroa, who was due to turn 5 May 28, is one of the eight children of the late singer Sebastian. People reported that his two brothers, Trigo Figueroa and Juan Sebastian, were killed in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
Figueroa is survived by his wife, Em Garza, and son, Jose Julián, six.
