NNA – Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday followed up on with Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi, preparations for holding the municipal and mayoral elections, based on what was stated in the law issued yesterday by Parliament.
It was agreed that the Minister of the Interior would prepare the updated budget necessary for holding the elections, so that a credit balance would be opened for them.
In light of the new budget, the Minister of Interior, within his powers, will set new dates for the elections.
