On Friday morning, after the online debate, Nikki took to Twitter with a screenshot of an email from a reporter at the media outlet Newsweek, asking for comment on the now-infamous dress.
He politely asked if she and her daughter had discussed her outfit choice beforehand and if she wanted to comment on the ensuing online backlash.
But the politician took to Twitter to express her feelings.
