Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco have appeared in public with their children for the first time since the palace was forced to deny that the couple’s marriage was on the rocks – and they even matched their outfits.
The family looked picture-perfect when mother-of-two Charlene, 45, put her arm around eight-year-old Prince Jacques and put her other hand on Princess Gabriella’s shoulders as the family went to a match as part of the Sainte Devote Rugby Tournament.
Ex-Olympic swimmer Charlene looked elegant in a white top and white trousers, layered with a navy blue blazer embroidered with the club’s rugby crest.
She opted for bright red lipstick and red nails to match and shaded herself with translucent sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Prince Albert, 65, opted for smart trousers with a white shirt and red tie and wore the same blazer as his wife.

Before the event started, Charlene chatted with two young rugby players about the match while carrying the match ball.
The sweet family appearance comes weeks after a French publication reported that Princess Charlene and Prince Albert were in a divorce process – something the palace has vehemently denied.
After ROYAUTÉ reported that their 12-year marriage was about to end, a spokesperson said the couple “formally deny the malicious rumors spread by the magazine.”

In recent weeks, the pair have put up a united front at events across the principality, including a memorial mass for Prince Albert’s late father, Prince Rainier, earlier this month.
However, Princess Charlene fueled rumors that her marriage was on the rocks when she was spotted on a solo trip to Milan last month without wearing her wedding ring.
She later returned to Monaco and attended an awards ceremony with her husband, again wearing the ring.
Later that day, however, the pair made a joint appearance at the Monte Carlo Woman of the Year awards, where Charlene appeared to be wearing her wedding band, pouring cold water on the split rumors.
The plot seemed to thicken at the next royal engagement, when Prince Albert attended the Rose Ball in Monaco without his wife present.

Last week, Albert revealed that Charlene is “thrilled and happy” about the royal project to restore the palace amid the rumours.
The king claimed his wife “shares the joy” of the eight-year project in which Italian Renaissance frescoes in the palace were brought back to life after other members of the royal family covered them in paint.
Speak against Hello! magazine of the palace when the restored works were unveiled, Prince Albert suggested that his wife was enthusiastic about the project.
When asked about his South African-born wife, he said: ‘Princess Charlene was thrilled and happy that we were able to carry out this work.
“Last year she showed some of her guests the state apartments and she really enjoyed showing them the frescoes.”

Elsewhere in his interview, Prince Albert referred to his late mother, Hollywood star Grace Kelly, who first began decorating the palace when she moved to Monaco following her marriage to Prince Rainier.
He described his mother as a “taste-assured” woman and said he believed his parents were watching over him and his family and would “encourage us to continue on this path.”
The timeline of the couple’s relationship was hardly smooth sailing; rumors about the state of their marriage began circulating after Charlene was absent from Monaco for most of 2021 while undergoing medical treatment in her native South Africa.
The mother-of-two was admitted to a Swiss clinic on her return to be treated for exhaustion, but has now returned to her royal duties and public appearances.
Charlene and Albert married in July 2011 after the prince proposed marriage with a handmade pear-cut diamond flanked by smaller diamonds designed by Paris-based Italian jeweler Repossi.
Later, during the wedding service, the couple exchanged Cartier 18-carat white gold platinum rings, with Charlene laughing as she placed the ring on her husband’s finger.
At the time of the wedding, Charlene was dubbed the “Runaway Bride” by the French media after she allegedly tried to flee from the ceremony, but the reports were always denied.
