NNA – Caretaker Minister of Industry George Boushkian, stressed that he does not regret his decision to participate in the government meetings, considering that “what the caretaker government is doing today is to conduct basic and necessary matters in the exceptional situation the country is going through.”

In an interview with the “Voice of All Lebanon”, he believed that “the parliament is the appropriate place to conduct a dialogue between all components, and it has become an urgent matter to keep pace with the external dialogue that is taking place in Paris regarding the presidential elections.”

The minister considered that “the Lebanese file needs a clearer scene in the region first, hoping that the next stage will witness prosperity, especially in the sectors of industry, agriculture and tourism, in addition to re-strengthening the banking sector.”

In response to a question, Boushkian said, “The increases approved for public sector employees constitute a good start, albeit late, and fall within the interim decisions moving according to state revenues.”
