Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston face ‘showers and potential thunderstorm’ on big day

Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston will tie the knot on Saturday in a lavish ceremony at a $60 million mansion in Sydney.

And despite pouring nearly $1 million into their big day, the couple faces a “very high chance of showers and a possible thunderstorm” that could ruin their marriage.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology on Friday, temperatures between 16 and 21 degrees, ‘cloudy’ skies and a 100 percent chance of rain.

After Kyle called in sick for Friday’s episode of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, newscaster Brooklyn Ross read the weather report and told listeners to “enjoy the sun while it lasts.”

‘Enjoy the sun while it lasts, because the wedding forecasts are also rain and thunder. Rain for Sunday,” Brooklyn said.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said she’s going to buy a new umbrella to match the floral dress she plans to wear to the wedding.

“Kyle decided to take today off, omg, omg! I know there are so many people in town and there’s still a lot to do,” she said.

“I can’t believe the weather tomorrow, it’s going to rain from 8am to midnight!” she added.

“Do you think he had a little dollar party last night?” asked Brooklyn about Kyle’s absence. “I hope not, because I would have liked an invitation.”

“What if he’s tied to a lamppost somewhere?” he added jokingly.

Executive producer Pedro Vitola suggested that Sandilands had failed to show up for work because he was busy “putting up extra marquees for the rain.”

Some of the most influential Australians in media and politics will attend Sandilands wedding to Kynaston on Saturday – including the Prime Minister.

The exclusive guest list includes presenter Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine; Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim and his model girlfriend Sarah Budge; and singer Guy Sebastian and his stylistic wife Jules.

Anthony Albanese will even be DJing at the reception, with his partner Jodie Haydon as plus-one, while NSW Labor Prime Minister Chris Minns will also be attending what will be the biggest celebrity wedding of the year with his wife Anna.

Other guests include the colorful former paparazzo-turned-mayor of Geelong, Darryn Lyons; boxer Jeff Fenech and his wife Suzee; NRL player turned TV presenter Beau Ryan and wife Kara; and Sandilands’ longtime radio host Jackie O, who brings her 12-year-old daughter, Kitty.

Musical guests include Sebastian – who has been friends with Sandilands for nearly two decades – as well as Samantha Jade and Conrad Sewell.

The total cost of the ceremony is rumored to be around $1 million, and the couple locked up the beautiful Swifts landmark home for the occasion.

The late Victorian Gothic Revival mansion in Darling Point has hosted a number of prestigious events for Sydney’s elite over the years.

Socialite Nadia Fairfax married financier Michael Wayne there in 2021.

Owned by Shane and Penelope Moran of the Moran Health Care Group family, the $60 million home was built between 1876 and 1883 and features 56 rooms, beautiful grounds, and harbor views.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show earlier this week, Sandilands revealed the exorbitant amount of money he had spent on his upcoming nuptials.

He spent an estimated $1 million on the wedding, which is his second after marrying Tamara Jaber in 2010 (they divorced two years later).
